Why This Space Exists
This project exists for survivors — not for shock value, not for judgment, and not for exposure. Stories shared here are given a faceless voice so others can see themselves, find strength, and know they are not alone.
A Little About Me
My name is Billy Keel. I am both a victim and a survivor of abuse. I was physically beaten, emotionally broken, and sexually abused by my father beginning at six years old.
While other children were starting school and making friends, I lived in fear. I knew two things would happen when my father came home: I would be beaten or molested. He controlled me with fear and silence, threatening to kill my mother and sister if I ever told anyone.
I did not escape my father’s abuse until I was seventeen. My story ended with violence, jail, and years of darkness. I was judged by everyone — except one person: my wife. She saw good in me when I could not. She never gave up on me.
Through forgiveness, healing, faith, and a lot of work, I am proud of the person I am today. I believe this project is my purpose — to use my story so others may find their way out and become survivors themselves.
I share this so you know your story will be handled with honesty, respect, and care.
